Series Overview

The Power of Christmas is that’s it’s local. God sent his son to a particular place at a particular time. Jesus “moved into the neighborhood” of Bethlehem. Everything that happened in the Christmas story was personal. Mary, a faithful young teenager was chosen and was the first one to say yes to God’s plan and yes, to mothering the God of the universe. Joseph, was a righteous man whose plans were upended. His intentions to break off the relationship with Mary were interrupted by the angel Gabriel who assured Joseph, that the baby was by the power of the Spirit. God could have announced the birth of his Son to any profession, yet he chose to tell the shepherds the news first, and then the faraway magis who came looking. This is a local story… And it still is. Jesus comes for you… to our Bethlehem. He comes into our world and invites us to the life we have been longing for. Don’t miss it this Christmas.
