Michael Devine
Michael Devine serves as Director of Classic Worship at GRACE Church Bethlehem, overseeing music and liturgy alongside the clergy team. He loves to help congregations and choirs of all ages find their voice of praise, believing that Christian worship is one of the greatest pathways for Christian discipleship.
Michael is currently studying theology and the arts at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and holds a Master of Sacred Music from Luther Seminary and St. Olaf College. He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. He has also been deeply impacted and formed by multiple trips to L’Abri Fellowship in Huémoz, Switzerland. Michaelhas served churches in Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Minnesota, and Illinois, as Artistic Director for Choral Arts of Chattanooga, and on the part-time music faculty of Lee University.
While his family was serving on the mission field in Austria, Michael’s musical career began as one of the first international members of the Vienna Boys’ Choir, performing under notable conductors Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, and Marcello Viotti, and as soloist under Riccardo Muti with the Vienna Philharmonic. Michael also performed as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Daniel Barenboim in the U.S. premier of Elliot Carter’s What Next?
Michael has continued singing and is a past member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus under the direction of Norman Mackenzie where he performed the role of Pontius Pilate in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion conducted by Nathalie Stutzmann. He also sang in the highly acclaimed Atlanta Master Chorale under the direction of Eric Nelson and the Orpheus Men’s Ensemble of Georgia.
Matthew Llinas
Matt Llinas is the Creative Director at GRACE Church Bethlehem. A born and raised native of New York City, Matt is passionate about utilizing art and design to communicate God’s truth and creative nature.
Matt received a B.B.A from Baruch College and began his creative career with the Luis Palau Association designing print and digital content.
Matt is married to Alona and they reside outside of Philadelphia. They enjoy traveling, concerts, and trying new restaurants together.
